Give the break a shape

When rest is whatever remains after work, it is easy for it to vanish. Sunpause gives a break the same simple structure as a focus interval: a chosen duration and a clear place in the sequence. The idea is not to optimize every idle minute. It is to make room that the next task does not automatically consume.

A separate break also changes the meaning of finishing. Completing an interval does not immediately demand another task. There can be an actual boundary between the two. This helps a small routine feel repeatable rather than like a countdown that keeps recruiting more of the day.

The journal preserves the distinction. Completed focus minutes contribute to the focus total; breaks do not. Ended-early attempts remain visible instead of being edited out of the story. Looking back at those records can suggest a rhythm worth adjusting, but the timer cannot prove whether attention was good or whether a particular schedule is right for someone.

The local timer supports a named task, a chosen duration, pause and resume, and separate focus and break intervals. Completed focus sessions unlock up to three scenes. Both completed and ended-early attempts enter the journal, which can be exported as CSV. The record describes elapsed timer time rather than independently verified attention.

Complete a focus interval, then give the break its own timer. Notice the consequence before adding another step. This presentation does not connect a hosted service or issue a token; its claim is the small interaction you can actually inspect.
